A new take on season six of the great series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
True looked to Xander then to Spike. “She’s insane, Willow,” True said sounding amazed she hadn’t noticed before. “How could you not have seen it?
She isn’t well. Her mind is slipping from her head like sand through a sieve. In another year or so, I’ll have to put her out of her misery. Never mind you or anyone else; she won’t be able to remember who she is. She won’t know what planet she’s on or anything else for that matter. Her mind is turning to ‘gew’ as Spike so nicely put it.”
Willow glanced over to Spike who just put his head down refusing to look at her. Willow shook her head ‘no’ and grabbed onto Buffy, who cried along with her best friend. “How?” Willow sobbed.
“Black magick, young lady,” True said. “You used black magick to fix her mind from the damage that Glorificus did. It worked for a while, but it wasn’t permanent. Black magick doesn’t always stick so well. It’s like a quick fix, nothing more, nothing less. Very fancy duct tape. You may have been able to help her with white magick, but it’s too late for that now. You’d have an easier time trying to restore her soul and I’ve told you how impossible that is.”
“Is there anything I can do?” Willow sobbed. “Anything?”
“No.”
“But what about the magic?” Willow screeched at him. “Won’t any magic help?”
True watched the young witch and sympathized with her. “There is a spell that could work, but it is also dark magick. It’s of no use to you, young lady.”
“Which one?” Willow asked running past Angel and Spike to the dining area and coming back with a black book in her hands. She flipped through the pages and started spouting off names of spells.
“Stop,” True said softly as Willow continued to name off spells. She continued until True raised his voice gaining her full attention. “Stop reading from the book!”
