A new take on season six of the great series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

“Not that,” Spike said moving backwards and picking up Buffy’s feet. He took off her shoes and socks and began to massage her poor swollen feet. “Andrew and Elizabeth or Heather.”

Buffy watched him as he massaged her feet and chose not to look at her. “When we finally came around to discussing it, I was going to throw out those names.” Spike looked at her for a brief second then switched her feet. Buffy was feeling guilty. “I don’t want you to feel bad, but I don’t want you to be mad either.”

Spike looked at her; she had peaked his curiosity. “You’re worried about MY reaction? This’ got to be a first.”

Buffy rolled her eyes and kicked Spike with the foot he was massaging. Spike threw his hands up as if to declare that he’s giving up. But, Buffy moved closer to him instead of away. She looked at him and said, “I know what you want to name our baby. I was just throwing those names out there so you wouldn’t know that I…read your entry into the journal.”

“You did what?”

“I know, I know,” Buffy said in her defense. “You were supposed to write your story to our baby in the green journal and I was supposed to wait until you were finished to read it, but…”

“Yeah, but…” Spike said egging her on.

“But, I wasn’t tired and was I just sitting there…and it was sooo boring. Do you know how it feels that the only excitement I have all day is waiting for you to come home to tell me who you got to beat up that night? Pathetic. Why is it that I have to be lame ass Buffy before I become Mommy Buffy? ” Buffy looked down as if defeated. “So, I read your story. So what? I should know these things about you anyway…”

“I’m not finished with the story yet,” Spike responded to her. “But, that doesn’t matter anyway.”

“Of course it does.” Buffy touched Spike’s face sweetly. “I wish you told me about your family.”
