A new take on season six of the great series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

From outside of the door they could hear Dawn say, “I wouldn’t just walk in there if I were you.”

Shortly after, Cordelia knocked on the door and said, “you guys gonna sleep or what?”

“Or what!”  Spike replied much to Buffy’s dismay.

“Sorry Cordy,” Buffy said pinching Spike’s side, which made him laugh more.  “Goodnight.”

Through the door, Cordelia replied, “goodnight you two.”

“Goodnight Cordelia,” Spike laughed.

“Goodnight Spike,” Dawn yelled.  “Goodnight Buffy.  Goodnight my little niece or nephew.”

“Goodnight Dawn,” both Spike and Buffy replied together.

“Goodnight Willow,” Dawn yelled.

“Goodnight, Dawnee,” Willow replied.

“Goodnight Angel and Wes and Gunn,” Dawn continued.

“Goodnight Dawn,” they replied not quite in unison, but close enough.

After a few moments of silence Angel added, “Goodnight Johnboy,” to which an explosion of laughter filled the house.  The home finally mellowed into a house full of sleepers and resting do gooders who were just waiting for that moment to make the world a better place to be in.

Birth

Spike drove from the Lamaze class a very not happy vampire.  Buffy sat beside him in the Scooby mobile and tried not to laugh.  He looked at as if to say, don’t even say it’.  She tried to look consoling, but it didn’t work.

“I’m thinking your idea was better in theory,” Buffy said sympathetically.  “I mean, who’d of thought Jim and Patti would change their class too?”  She was annoyed by Jim, too, but this time Spike was this close [this close] to losing his temper in an unhuman, very vampiric way.  “You’d think they were trying to avoid us.”  It was meant as a joke, but when she said it, it did ring a little true.

Spike looked at Buffy and whined, “Not even a little bite?  The world would be a better place.  I’d be doing good.”
