“Let’s not forget about Tara,” Willow added. “She’s got the whole powerful witch thing.”

“Yeah,” Xander agreed. “But remember when we were there? She’s passive in all of this, like Bambie. Tony and Faith are the aggressive ones.”

“Who’s Bambie?” Gunn asked.

“She’s a big vampire slut Tara made to look like Willow only with larger boobs,” Anya said pointing towards Willow. “They tried to use her sluttiness to try and lure Spike to their group.”

“But, it didn’t work?” Wesley tried to make it a statement, but it came out like a question.

“Oh, no,” Anya said. “Buffy has Spike on a real short leash.”

Wesley patted Angel’s shoulder. The broody vampire’s face viciously distorted displaying his disgust for the unwanted visual.

“Especially since he doesn’t have the chip anymore,” Anya added.

“What? When did that happen?”

“A couple of months ago,” Willow told the angry, no…worried, no…flabbergasted vampire.

“Not again!” Dawn blurted out. “Spike hasn’t done anything! I’m really getting tired of everyone harping on him. He hasn’t even put on his vamp face on in like ages. Well…maybe he has at work, but not here. He hasn’t here.”

“Work?” Angel said like he misunderstood.

Angel nodded his head ‘no’ then ‘yes’ even though he had no idea why. He remembered the defiant little girl and now saw a defiant young woman to asserted herself forcefully quite like Buffy. A mini Buffy. She wants them together, Angel thought, that’s why she’s being such a…little bitch. “Listen,” Angel said directly to Dawn. “We…are here to make sure Buffy gets through this. Alright?”

Dawn nodded ‘yes’ and leaned back on Cordelia who put her arm around the young slayer. Angel put his head down and tried to put everything together. Abruptly, he stood up and declared, “I think maybe we should leave…”
