A new take on season six of the great series Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
“Hey,” Angel said softly.
“Hey,” Buffy replied smiling. “Its not like we have a lot of room or anything, but…it would make me feel a lot better if you were to stay.” After a split second, she heard what she said then added, “if all of you were to stay. The more the merrier…and all that.” Spike stood behind Buffy looking down and away to the side, his face showing his crushed heart.
“Buffy,” Xander said hoping to change the somber and uncomfortable mood that flooded the room. “We were just talking about the trouble that’s gonna be a-brewing in two days.”
“What happens in two days?” Angel asked turning from Buffy to Xander.
“You guys are pretty much outta the loop aren’t you?” Xander said.
“True said he would keep Faith and her crew at bay until the day after tomorrow,” Willow said. “After that, all bets are off and we’re ready for war.”
“Especially since it seems everyone knows Buffy’s preggers,” Xander added. “It’s not like we can hide it or anything.”
“You went into a pact with True?” Angel asked trying to hide the worry in his voice, but not doing such a good job.
“Not so much a pact,” Buffy said. “He said he’d give us a break from having to save the world again and he did.”
“Are we talking about the same True?” Cordelia asked.
“Yeah,” Gunn said. “The guy we’re talking about is about 6 feet tall, with black hair and icy green eyes with a weird tattoo on his neck?”
“With a sexy smile and a pissy attitude,” Cordelia added. “Likes to pop in and out of places and enjoys slamming people against the wall without even touching them.”
“Sounds the same,” Willow said. “Except for the pissy attitude part.”
Angel watched the Sunnydale crew carefully. He looked at Buffy and tried to be as tactful as he could. “There’s something not right with this. I think True’s playing both sides against the middle.”
