A poem on fanaticism or blood letting in the name of religion.
They judged with the lord
With an iron sickle
Faithful folds of followers
Holding the head high
In sanctimonious superiority
Distinct disciples chasing perfection in a sinning world.
The braggadocio of bold religiosity
Abounds in fervent ferocious battle of prayer warriors
And in the jihad of blood.
Pharisees fighting with salacious serpents
Too holy to wear a sassy miniskirt
Bushy itchy moustache hides the lies and lice of extremism.
Blood dripping from hate bombers,
Mayhem in Middle East
The homosexuality of Sodom’s bishop
And the ghoulish relic of Gomorrah’s celibacy says it all!
Who will heal the wounds of humanity?
Only the Supreme sees the heart
Not your pitiable piety to impress.
Think you to touch heaven’s gate
Riding on human blood
Splattered in bitter violence and hate
In religion’s own name?
Amusing religious devotion
In a world where all wrong is right
Yet, raunchy Rah-ab owns a promised land
Where pious prophets own none!
