What is fear?
It is a condition of the mind that expresses a certain feeling.
The word fear, according to the dictionary, is a ‘troubled feeling caused by awareness or expectation of danger or some frightening event’.
It is a condition of the mind that causes us to re-act in a particular way with whatever situation faces us that makes us feel uncomfortable and ill-at-ease with our surroundings, events, thoughts and people.
It is not a pleasant feeling and one that we all try to avoid.
In certain cases it can be an ally that could be a life saver.
However, in everyday life, there are many things that fear prevents you from pursuing and achieving - your goals, dreams and fulfilment of your life, mainly because your brain will believe anything you tell it and will be guided by your thoughts.
Why? Because it does not know the difference!
So – what is fear?
It is a four letter word that packs a mean punch anyway you look at it, and this is how I look at it -
F – False
E – Evidence
A – Appearing
R – Real
