Boo!
One of the most puzzling, strong and frequently experienced feelings is fear. Fear is fixed in the minds of every single living organism – either dormant or lively but never dead. Fear is that emotion which causes a great tension in the person’s conscience. Fear is known under many other names to make more clear the eloquence of vast fear.
Anxiety, worry, panic, horror, terror and insecurity all suggest the presence of fear. Nobody can boast be fear

less save heroes in films and the famous Robin Hood in the Sherwood Forest amongst many others. People, at every stage of life experience some kind of fear; nobody has yet been able to escape from it. Scares vary from individual to individual. Some are superstitious and thus are afraid of the unpredictable future, others tremble in darkness. Some are scared to die while some panic in the examination room. Even actors and actresses suffer from stage fright. Timid, non-assertive children as well as teenagers often fear humiliation, rejection from their respective peer groups. Elders, in their circumstance, find loneliness a terrifying paralysing fear.
However the supreme fear that rules over the entire world is the fear of God. This omni-present fear controls the society of today; it prevents any increase in the rate of social evils. As the believers of God respect and fear the Divine Force, they do not dare to offense the law lest to harm others. If unluckily fear did not exist, people would turn into selfish, careless creatures. They would not care tupper pence about the lives of others and so frequent accidents would occur. They would easily break the rules and regulations of countries. Criminals would enjoy making life intolerable – stampeding innocents, robbing…. In fact, as there would be then absolutely neither limits nor restrictions imposed on people especially on evil people, the society would go on degrading.
Fear can be a light one, bearable and at times intense. In many cases, some persons have allowed their fears to grow and this undoubtedly leads to serious consequences. One of the most encountered bad effects is one involving psychological problems. For instance, if one has claustrophobia and one is exploring a cave this may become an insidious danger and one may eventually become cave-frenzy. Another fatal effect is that a person may even die due to intense fear. He may get a sudden heart attack and consequently die on the spot.
Fear not only exists among humans but also is an important aspect in animals’ lives. Here it is the most feeble who suffers from fear – fear of the stronger one. To show their fear, the other animals fled as they see the lion in the battlefield.
People express their secret fears by disclosing them to their friends or through their talents: by painting for instance. “The Scream” a well-known picture by Edvard Munch, artist is a striking example. Thus it cannot be denied that there can be no proper life without ‘fear’. Fear was, is and will always be of trivial significance throughout the world.
