What do you fear?

People fear different things, some people fear animals, and others fear sex or death.  Although some fears have more than one name here is a list of terms for different fears that people experience.

Ailurophobia is the fear of cats.

Aerophobia is the fear of flying.

Trypanophobia is the fear of needles.

Astraphobia is the fear of lightening.

Note:  Please avoid driving during thunderstorms if you’re afraid of lightening.   My mother is afraid of lightening and riding with her while it’s lightening is my phobia because she ducks and jumps while driving (and I’m usually worried about the wheel).  I wonder what that phobia is called.

Thanatophobia is the fear of dying.

Note:  You might fear it, but take comfort in the fact that there is no way around it.  It happens to the best of them, when you have to go, you have to go.  What other choice do you have?
