Find out my viewpoint about them find out how to control them and what are their reactions if disappointed.

I thought feminist are those people who just talk about women domination. I never did have a chance to interact with a feminist. Therefore, I did not know the truth. Recently, I got chance with the feminist and I would accept that whatever I had heard about feminist was true.

I began to think that they suffer from some psychological disorder because the way they react whenever they feel that someone used a discriminatory word was shocking.

Now, you will begin to feel that I am anti-feminist. I will not claim for or against this idea. Since, I am neutral. I will shortly disclose the reason. However, before that let me narrate you the story of my encounter with a feminist.

We met during a project work. Initially, I did not know that she was feminist. I thought her like any other girl and started interacting with her normally. I being a technology student is not good in using gender-neutral language during informal talks (I think all technology students will agree to it) and that is where I made the biggest mistake of my life. One day after fieldwork, I just made a passing informal comment that the woman whom she interviewed were typical Indian women and hence she should not be much surprised by their way of interaction with her.

That is it!

All the hell broke out. In normal circumstance, a girl would either ignore it or pull my leg in a similar style. However, not this girl, she started a debate and asking for the reason for my statement. Initially, I took it lightly and used the words loosely; however, her voice started becoming louder and sharper. She started accusing me. She made me feel as if I had done an unpardonable crime and deserve death sentence. I even tried to pacify her that I am from Technology College and our informal dialogues are meant to pull legs and not to create fight. She did not listen to me and her accusations just went on increasing. She did not stop even when I accepted that I am wrong and will keep this in mind next time. Finally, my other friends intervened I got away from her clutches.

After few days, I recollected that incident and thought that why I thought that she was an insane, psycho, and desperate to denigrate anyone. Although, it sometimes happens that some statements might hurt someone’s emotions but I haven’t seen anybody making so much hue and cry. I feel that the ending could have been much more peaceful if she would have debated peacefully.

I feel that they should realize that if they want support then rather than shouting at people, they need to talk to them peacefully and be ready to accept their mistakes and faults in their beliefs. But, rather than this they just try to suppress others.

Good for her! You have no right to make assumptions about people based on theire race, sex or age. We all have equal value in this world.
