Thoughts for an ICON.
In life you gave what was on your heart. In return you received fortune, fame, and love. But the one thing that we could not give was the peace that you longed for. In life the music masked the hurt and fear of the person you saw when you looked in the mirror. Now you have gone beyond the stars, to a place called home. I hope in death you have found the peace that you searched for. The search through Never Land, the search in the children’s faces, the search through the dance and the beat, the search through the maze of people who fell at your feet. There is nothing else left but the home beyond the sky, the home that you longed for. Even as I speak, I feel the hurt subside, the joy of knowing that you have been relieved from the tortures of life that can be all consuming.
So now “Rest In Peace” brother, friend, father, son; you have found your place, in a place called home.
