Just a late night rant that is always on my mind. Why don’t people
just watch the news and read the paper a little more? On the way to work
school, the salon, the zoo for all I care!

:) hopefully I do not offend anyone, if so I am willing to write an apology letter explaining my exact position hehehehehe. However I would not be changing my mind about anything mentioned + I will NOT be intimidated.

*it would be pretty funny to write an apology letter*

ENJOY :D .

Some people know so little of the happenings in our world.  It is not rare at all; you can speak to people of many different ages and genders. I often speak about politics or about outstanding events, which are often on the news. One would think that by being a citizen of a nation, you would want to be informed. By informed I mean to some degree, you don’t have to know names, dates, exact moments, but simply know it has happened or it is happening. However many individuals have absolutely no idea that Canada is run by a prime minister, not a president!  This is one of the worse levels of “not knowing”, “ignorance” or “stupidity”,as the reader, you decide. Being globally aware is important; it does not mean watching the news 24/7 or flipping to different channels from around the world. Nonetheless it does mean knowing things like “By the way, Bush is no longer the president of the United States”, “Michael Jackson is DEAD”, “Canada is made up of provinces, not STATES” and for those really informed “the Honduran military coup cannot be justified”.

Sometimes when I speak to people, it really brings me down to a state of sudden depression. Though it allows me to understand why our world is so full of shit. I mean just look around, we are surrounded by incompetent psychos, who walk around like zombies buying shoes, cars and lipstick. Not all, but a handful of the people we all know fall under this category.

When starting a conversation I like to speak about a variety of things, including global issues. There are times when, some of the people I speak to have no idea what the hell I’m saying. Or some get informed ONLY when it affects them. Some people do not vote, because “I have no time, and it really doesn’t matter” or “I hate politics”. I hate politics is really a big one, nowadays a lot of people hate politics. It’s cool, I mean I hate mathematics and no one really attacks me for it. Though I still pay taxes, yet it involves numbers but people who hate politics don’t vote, because it involves politics. Will it ever end!?

Anyways this was a really long rant about a lot of things, but mostly about people who are not informed. Basically I just wanted to send out the message that, being informed is really important #1 because you will know exactly when to wear your raincoat next AND #2 you look like a lot LESS of an idiot, in front of people.
