Joe Barnes is about to embark on his second year at Hogwarts. Dudley Dursley has been forced into coming to terms with his own daughter getting a letter. Vonnie Dursley hid her talents from her father as she was scared of what he would think of her, even though he and Harry Potter were now a lot closer and Harry Dursleys friend was a wizard he still had the attitude that he never wanted one of his own to be one.
A flash of green light, Harry Potter drew his wand and the three friends go to investigate.
The group stepped through the opening on to the cobbled street in front of them. Vonnie just stood staring at the sight in front of her.
‘Come on Vonnie.’ Harry Dursley said pulling on her arm.
Vonnie moved into the street and the group started walking towards Gringotts Bank.
Vonnie’s face was that of shock when she came face to face with the Goblin at the desk. You see she had heard about Diagon Alley, Gringotts and the Goblins from her dad’s stories but this was the first time she had ever come face to face with one.
Joe’s dad looked at his watch. ‘I’d better be going he said to every one.
‘See you later dad.’ Joe said as he waved him good bye.

A short time later Vonnie had her bank account and everyone was ready to shop. Heading out of the bank they stood for a moment deciding where to go first. Then something caught Harry Potters Eye, A flash of green light emitted from Knockturn Alley. ‘Ginny, Hermione get the kids back in the bank.’ Harry said his wand already drawn. ‘Ron you’re with me.’
Hermione looked at Harry her wand in her hand. ‘I’m not letting you two out of my sight.’
‘You three go I’ll keep an eye on this lot.’ Ginny said giving Hermione permission to go with Ron and Harry.
The three friends and colleagues headed down the Alley keeping to she shadows looking for the source of what they all believed to be a killing curse. As they reached Borgin and Burkes something caught their eyes to their left. A body laid on the floor a look of shear terror on the now dead wizards face.
Kneeling down to check the body Hermione pulled something out of the pocket and spoke.
Harry and Ron were guarding her and the body while looking around for signs of the killer.
Movement in the Shadows of Borgin and Burkes caught Harry’s eye and without saying anything he was inside the shop just as someone jumped into the fire place and vanished. ‘Dam it.’ He said as he scanned the shop for anyone else but the place was empty not even a shop keeper to be seen. Leaving the shop he headed over to Ron and Hermione who looked up at him
‘I lost him. He used the floo to escape.’ Harry said.
‘Did you get a look at him?’ Hermione asked now fully into work mode.
‘No he was dressed all in black and his face was covered. Looks like we’ve got some work to do.’ Harry replied just as a small group of wizards Harry recognised as Hermione’s colleagues from Magical Law Enforcement entered the Alley.
Hermione explained to their colleagues what they had seen then went into Borgin and Burkes with Harry to look for any evidence that would lead to the identity of the killer.
‘He’s covered his tracks there isn’t any evidence he was in here let alone used the floo.’ She said after examining the shop.
Harry looked up the stairs ‘Up here Hermione.’ He said pointing his wand at the top of the stairs where he could see some feet. Hermione came over and the ascended together wands ready. At the top of the stairs laid the body Harry recognised as a member of the Borgin and Burkes staff. ‘He’s just unconscious.’ Hermione said after examining him. Pulling the coin out of her pocket she spoke ‘We have an injured wizard up here. A minute later two wizards came up the stairs.
‘We’ll take him to St. Mungo’s. You three should get back to your families. We’ll contact you if there are any other incidents or developments.’ Said one of the Wizards.
Harry and Hermione acknowledged him and headed down the stairs to where Ron was.
