Gawker Media, one of the biggest blogging networks of the internet has been hacked by so called "script kiddies".

A hacker group called “Gnosis” has successfully infitrated the servers of Gawker Media. The reason of this attack seems to be that Gawker Media caller the members of “Gnosis” ’script kiddies’. This hurt them a lot, so they decided to hack their servers and literally ruin them by publishing the intern data of Gawker to the public. They published also all the login data of the workers and users of Gawker Media.

They commented their action with “Fuck you gawker, hows this for script kids?”. Funny enough the password of the gmail account (aswell as the Twitter account) of Nick Denton (The Gawker founder) was leaked aswell.

Also the hackers leaked sourcecode of Gawker’s systems aswell as a screenshot of the new, top secret, design they were going to publish this summer.

Following blogs belong to Gawker: Gawker, Gizmodo, IO9, Kotaku, Deadspin, Jalopnik, Jezebel and Lifehacker. So if you’re a member there it’s strongly recommended to change all your passwords, because the hacker might have access to your e-mail now, in case you used the same password for Gawker and your e-mail.

Gawker strongly recommends you to change your password if you’re part of their social community.
