Yeah this is just a random rant, but I’m pretty sure many people would agree.

Our generation is becoming more and more jaded, and apthetic.
Why?
All these violent and gratuitous games and movies.
Nearly everything now-an-days is full of gore and sex.
All the blood and senseless killing leaves this day and age’s generation to be completely jaded, and desensitized from feelings, like fear.
Many games that are around have way too much blood, even if the game is rated mature, parents still buy it for their kids. Games like Call Of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, and much more other games. These games contain so much gore, violence, drug use and occasionally sexual referances, and from playing games online, I’ve played against many younger kids, as young as what seems like 8 years of age, up to 17(Still legally a kid), These young kids I’ve heard curse out other people playing the games, and I don’t find it right, these parents are just letting their kids be exposed to this, which I don’t think is right, but who am I to judge. I haven’t seen a movie in so long that didn’t have a pointless sex scene or gore, and parents let their kids watch this too, again, I’m not one to judge, but its not right.
I’m definately not saying anything bad about the games, or movies (granted the movies could tone down the sex at least a little bit), just saying multimedia is whats making all these kids jaded. We don’t need more censors, or the FDA butting into more stuff, just saying should have a stronger watch on those rating and to drop the maturity of videos, and avoid having sex in almost every movie out there. Another multimedia source of corrupion out there is rap ‘music’ I have rarely ever seen a rap song that didn’t talk of sex, drugs, hating a specific group, or just pure nonsense. Which just says stop playing so much rap on the radio. There have been very few rap ‘artists’ or groups that I’ve found to be good and wholesome, but thats pretty restricted to a maximum of like 5 groups/’artists’. Once again I am not saying the FDA should butt into this and censor it more, just saying that radio stations could start playing less rap. Granted thats my opinion, but it does seem to be a large factor in the corrupion of our youth.
