I really need to get things organized in my life. So many things, events, and
places are a real wreck.
So many things need to get organized by me or other people. I am not the first to admit that I have to
get my place organized, old things, people, and places, removed, and simplified. It will take time in
order to do so.
I just had a discussion with my folks about the condition of my place and came to the conclusion that I
have to let go of some of my old things such as books, cds, clothing, and other articles which are
cluttering up my place and making it a mess, to put it mildly. As an America, Western Hemisphere
dweller, and general human, I admit my life is out of control.
The whole purpose of our way of life, as I see it many times, is to work, make money, pay bills, work, pay
more bills, have fun by spending money, and do it over and over again, ad infinitum. This is the trap I
have been in much of my life, especially the last fourteen years.
I go to the bookstore and usually leave with at least one new book or periodical when I leave.
Regardless of whether I use coupons or the store bonus card, I just have to buy something!
I feel my heart race, and breath get short, and I get excited. It is a rush I am getting. I have to
have my fix. It is a drug! I am certainly not rational and freak out when I check my bank balance
and sometimes see that I have overdraft notices in the mail.
I am certainly not alone in this compulive spending. Most of my family are also compulsive spenders, but
on big ticket items such as college educations, housing expenses, and other sundry things.
It was a friend of mine who suggested that I write more than I read, and tutor someone in
reading, in order to get a benefit from my years of reading, and share my interests with others.
So one day, while browsing craigslist.org for short term gigs I found a link to triond.com. I thought
it would be a good thing to do. Plus, I hear that some sites pay people for writing articles.
I am also going to check out other bloggers as well.
Back to the issue of clutter, I have to do it in order to find out what things are most valuable and
worthy of merit in order for me to hold on to them, or to remove other items which no longer
serve me well. I just might find that I have items which might be valuable for me to hold onto.
I am only a small young soul seeking to grow and mature.
