Ghandi used non-violence to get his points across.
Gandhi believed that non-violence was the way to end imperialism in India and stop British rule. He promoted non-violence to end imperialism. Gandhi used non-violence was when he encouraged the people of India to boycott the usage of cloth made in Britain, burn their clothes made in Britain, and to spin their own threads for their own fabrics to make clothing with. Gandhi marched to the Indian Ocean for salt as a way of protesting British salt. This was boycotting British rule, but in a non-violent way. Gandhi created peace in a non-violent way. Non-violence is a good way to get your point across. Non-violence shows that you believe in a cause and will not let anyone get in your way or stop you. Non-violence needs to be persistent to be a good way to deal with the problem at hand. Non-violence is hard to do because if someone hurts you, usually the first reaction is to hurt them back, but that could work in our society. It would take a lot of work and perseverance. Non-violence is not noticed as much as violence is because non-violence is not loud and screaming for attention as fighting with violence is. If our society was willing to work together for non-violence it would work.
