Are females on their time of the month more prone to vampire attacks?!?! O.o.
Ok, so I was around when all of these super natural themed books and movies started to reach their highest peak, most involving vampires, like Twilight and The Vampire Diaries (yes, you knew they were coming). So I was up in my room and I randomly decided to watch Twilight. Throughout the movie, I would think about Edward sucking Bella’s blood. Then my thoughts wandered to how Bella dealt with that special time of the month (you ladies know exactly what I’m talking about). This made me wonder whether a vampire could tell when a female was on her cycle. Would it smell different? Would it be more distinct since more blood was flowing out? Would it drive the vamps crazier than normal?
Now I know Edward was already driven crazy by Bella’s blood, but if we had gotten the true story–all the behind-the-scenes footage (you know producers leave out some a lot of stuff)–we may have seen a little more to the story! Maybe because Edward had to suffer through Bella’s period, their relationship grew stronger. Or maybe he went “camping” more because he couldn’t handle being with Bella during that time. Maybe that was why he left her in New Moon! It truly drove him (and the rest of his vampire family) insane! Ok, maybe I’m getting a little carried away; it could have been part of the reason. I apologize to the Vampire Diaries fans out there because I haven’t really gotten into that show, so I don’t know what it’s about.
I know more about Twilight, so that was my main example. I guess I’m the only one whose mind is twisted enough to think about why that wasn’t mentioned in the movie. (I wish I had more to say to conclude this. -.-)
