Recently, a good friend of mine, met his high-school friend, after about five years. He confided to me, that he then had a crush on her and now, was lucky to meet, again.

But when he reached back home, and talked to his another fast friend, was suddenly made to realize some hard facts.

“Dude! What did you do! You gave her flowers! Come on! That’s blunderous!”

“Really! I thought going empty handed would be bad… Mannerism… Chivalry…”

“Gimme a break! You still have so much to learn… Dude, it’s not the age of Queens, but of Paris Hilton! I know cancerians are emotional, but then you are cool… Be cool!”

“Don’t tell me the damage is irreparable…”

“No… It’s not… Listen to me, carefully.”

“Yeah!”

“Look, you’re cool, chiled out, we all know that, don’t act sissy and emotional in front of her…”

“Ahem!”

“You know, girls are strange. You chase after them, they’ll make you run more; and the moment you stop, they’ll chase you!”

“That’s weird!”

“You know all this, don’t you? But even then, why act foolish? You love her?”

“Ammm… I guess so..”

“Good then! Am happy for ya! You love her, fine. But then girls take it as desperation… Don’t show it!”

“Hang on! When did I”

“By giving herflowers, in your first meeting!”

“Am confused…”

“Yeah… I know… Hey, by the way, what happened to that chick?”

“Who?”

“The one, who proposed to you?”

“Oh! Come on… Cutta crap… You know am cold to her…”

“Fine… Fine… You know, talk about other girls and feeling jealous, they’ll chase after you!”

“So the crux is, I’ve to go slow, and steady…”

“Ya! And if destiny has it, she’ll always be there for you… If not, then dude, look around, it’s a big world!”

“No… She’s special…”

“Okay then… So here’s my bottom line. Girls are strange. Don’t chase after them. Lock away your emotional and caring nature, it’ll show desperation. And for God’s sake, be cool. Crack some lame jokes… Talk about girls… Don’t talk much about yourself… So, who’s the man?”
