When I first herd about this I thought it was a few kids trying to make a little money on Halloween but its much bigger.
It seem this year Goblin insurance has become a big deal for kids that want to get money instead of candy for Halloween. How it worked is these kids would go door to door a couple days before Halloween and sell “Goblin Insurance” the home owner would pay a a few bucks, and if their home was tee-peed or their windows were soaped the kids would come back and clean up the mess. One group of kids made over $800.00, though I don’t know how many houses they had to clean up.

I wanted to find more information about these Goblin Insurance agents, so I went online to see what I could find. I didn’t find any stories about kids selling goblin insurance like I thought I found a website that promoted it as a fundraiser. http://www.fasttrackfundraising.com/halloween-fundraiser-card.php. This website sells “Goblin Insurance Cards” for $1.00 each and advises you to sell them for $5.00 each, so for some kids to have made $800.00 they must have sold Their insurance to 160 people. This was a little disappointing to find out that the kids didn’t come up with it on their own but it still seems like a neat idea if they’re really willing to clean up my house if some kids decide to trick instead of treat.
