One day her pastor called Donna aside and asked if he could pray for herself, her husband and five children! He explained this was a question from God and he was just following orders and so they prayed!!  Donna agreed and wondered all the following week why her family needed prayer?

The following Saturday morning her husband was sleeping in the living room so as not to disturb the family with a breathing problem and Donna went down to see if he was all right!  He said he was and he came back to the bedroom

in 5 minutes or so!  Not long after that they noticed the hallway light on probably by one of the kids making a bathroom run! Curiosity led them to the downstairs where flames were bouncing off the wall and the couch that he was sleeping on minutes before was engulfed in flames! 

They rushed into action getting the children out of the house!  They got a few belongings out but Life was more important!  After calling the fire department and her pastor they all watched helplessly as their home burned to the ground!  The pastor and Donna gave knowing glances as to why prayers were given a week before!

A month before they took down the For Sale sign after receiving a sign from God to do so!  This was all coming together and making sense now!  The insurance company said it would take months to realize any money due to investigation, etc. the regular “red tape”!  Donna told their agent it was okay and that it was in God’s hands and things would be a lot better than before because of their faith in God!  The agent looked at them as if to say “yeah right”!

Two weeks later the agent called Donna and told her he had her checks!  One for the total value of the home and the other for the contents!  He admitted to Donna he didn’t know why he was doing this but he knew it was the right thing!

So one month after Donna’s old home burned to the ground they were in a brand new fully paid and PRAYED for one because God WAS WATCHING OVER THEM!
