Gold is a valuable metal which is used by (most,many,some) of the people all over the world. People use different items as ornaments in different parts of their body. Most of the ornaments are made of gold. The persons who make the ornaments from gold are known as goldsmiths. Gold is a most valuable thing which is very popular among the people in almost all places. The price of gold is increasing day-by-day. Sometimes the price of gold is seen to become downwards. The items which the people use to wear are generally finger ring, necklace, ear ring etc. Generally the women use to wear a number of ornaments. They are also having a tendency to visit the shops of the goldsmiths in and around their locality. The designs of the ornaments change time after time. The goldsmiths generally keep some catalogues of designs of a number of ornaments.

There is a tradition in most of the societies to arrange the bride-groom with a lot of ornaments especially in the marriage ceremony. It has been a burden to most of the families that they have to present a large amount of golden ornaments in the marriage of their daughters. Comparatively the amount of expenditure in the marriage ceremony in case of the girls is seen to be more than the boys’. There are some temples where most of the things are found to be golden. The temple of (Amritsar,Punjab,Haryana) is a golden one. In Bangkok, there is a statue of sleeping Buddha which is very long in size and it is made completely of gold.

Some people generally use to wear some gold like ornaments in their body organs like hands, neck, legs etc. But the difference is that the charming of these ornaments does not last for long. The charming of the gold items lasts for long time.
