The Dominican community is mourning the death of the producer, broadcaster, actor, comedian, singer and composer and television presenter Freddy Beras Goico. Men of noble feelings, humble heart an example for anybody who met him.

Freddy Beras Goico was one of the most influential personalities of the Dominica Republic as denouncing any irregularity committed in the country.  Equally, he helped the most deprived persons visiting its program collecting money for expensive treatments or operations. 

At the end of the year 2006 Freddy began to lose significant weight cause of it diabetes, in 2007 he was diagnosed with cancer. In 2008 they detect that his cancer had been expanded and succeeded in reaching his pancreas. All these diseases eroded his body and had to move away from public life for a few months.

In November 18th, 2010 at 4: 00 a.m. he died on Mt. Sinai Medical Center Hospital, in New York City.

After his death many stories, jokes, songs and books which were left to remind us of the magnitude of his nobleness, and his contagious smile which always will go on with us in our hearts.
