What does it really take to achieve real happiness?

As described by wikipedia, Happiness is a state of mind characterized by joy, pleasure, contentment, satisfaction, and love. But how can we clearly state that what we feel is real and ultimate happiness?

Others seemed to be practically happy financially, while others are happy for they have found the right partners in life. Others tend to be happy by just being contented to as who they are and not asking for more.

Happiness does varies. But how can we really say that the happiness, that this sense of joy and pleasure we feel will last forever? Does real happiness really lasts forever? If so, how can we find it?

Thus. a troubled thought would definitely not find it.

I tend to equate happiness with contentment. If you can’t have what you want, then want what you have. In other words, be satisfied with what you have instead of constantly thinking you should have what someone else has got. If we forget about our own blessings because we are constantly looking at what our neighbor has, we will always be miserable.
