Battery Hen more like battery hell has hens under an unacceptable condition.

Battery hen is where hens are kept in harsh and uncomfortably cages or batteries for producing eggs. They are kept in the cages for the rest of their short lives without exercise and having calcium drained out of them while laying eggs.  The cages are extremely uncomfortable and are barley bigger then the hens inside which creates stress and short life.

Don’t farmer care about hens?

 Some do care and agree with stoping this torture but some don’t realise that it is harsh to keep hens in cages. Unfortunately most farmers don’t care about other animals because they are cold hearted.

Good news, people are starting to help and give hens a brighter future. The cage ban will start in 2012, but not all cages will be banned but not all cages will be banned. At least the cages will be much larger and comfortable.

     :High long run part of the cage

     :A small scratching area provided with friable matter.

     :Height and width of the cage is enough for alot of freedom.
