This time of the year is special to a lot of people. Families getting ready to celebrate the birth of Christ or the re dedication of the Temple of Jerusalem. Kids getting tired of school and ready to take a break from the tests and homework for a week or so.
One of the most noticeable about this time of year is the snow. The streets fill with snow and the plows make a path for commuters to make their way to their jobs. Snowman start forming in many a front yard. This white powdery magic falling from the heavens, covring our world in a blanket of nippy winds.
Families making big dinners to feed a hungry group of crazy in-laws and ecstatic uncles.
After these days of presents and giving come a crash of a sort of depression, the break ends, the snow melts into a brown slush and the dinner leftovers go bad or all eaten. The kids trudge back to a prison of pencils and notebooks, the cars make their way back to office buildings. But the time spent cooking and laughing with the relatives make up for all that. A joyous time, a time to remember for another whole year.
