Time is the same as yesterday, but people are being changed rapidly. They are speaking that, they don’t know what they are speaking.

“Like , you know , the other day , like , it was f_ _king cold . Shit , like, you know, I , f_ _king couldn’t make it.You know .”

This was the part of  a conversation between two friends which I witnessed lately.

Basically, the sentence was “The other day, it was very cold, so I couldn’t make it.”

This is merely an example.Nowadays , the trend of speaking English is deviating in shameful way like this.Mostly this can be seen among teenagers and school kids.Using this kind of words in sentences while speaking has been a fashion. Slang and vulgar English have been established as icons of conversation.

If you can’t include these words as a part of your speech, you’re considered boring and not modern. It will be the matter of self esteem among friends.

The frequent use of such improper and unwanted words are making people more vulnerable for upcoming opportunities and developments.Today’s teens are future foundations . But what’ll be the outcome if the index of such speaking persists constantly.

In my opinion, parents, teachers, seniors , adults and all the other available resources can play key role to impede such overwhelming disasters . Because prevention is always better than cure.

Sometimes peer pressure and the environment encourage one to do it particularly if they are still young. Some English movies I saw shows characters talking the way you just presented it. :)

Constant use of the ‘f’ word for every trivial as well as obnoxious incidents belittles and demeans sex. But say that to a youngster, you will certainly be laughed at.

It is because society has become scared to correct the children for fear of being accused of child abuse. Also, what the western world sees as freedom of speech allows vulgar language on our tv screens, or in films. Our society is sick!

    Give it to fashion trend.

I agree with you totally. If I ever heard my kids or grandkids using that kind of language. I told them I knew they could speak English and that kind of language wasn’t called for. I just hate to hear anyone use bad language. I think they see so much of it on videos and TV that it seems normal.

You are so right. Bad language doesn’t improve your points. We have to teach children as you say.

    From Psychology textbook:
Observational learning- 1.Observe action. 2.Remember action. 3.Reproduce action. 4.Stay motivated to do said action.

That’s probably how and why they do it. :P

It is horrible to hear teens or others use foul language. The influences area all around and as adults, we should not allow this verbiage to be an acceptable way of living in our society. We all must be good examples and use proper grammar and vocabulary and teach the kids to do the same. Respect is clearly not a high point.

I grew up in the 50’s when men didn’t use bad language in front of ladies and children. Now it is everywhere and I hate it, especially in comedy. It’s not funny. It’s not even needed to make good comedy. It’s just thrown int here for absolutely no artistic reason whatsoever and that is irritating. Many of the older generation also feel threatened by foul language. I also wonder – if people add the “f” word like a punctuation mark in all their sentences what have they left to use to let off steam? Nothing? It’s all crazy! Bring back morality………….

This is very true sanataryal. and like you said, households and schools can play their roles to prevent this. but how about the movies? you know, everyitme you see a movie, almost all the lines in the script contain the same structure as the conversation you presented above. media is definitely a big influence.
