I had my fair share of playing but I never thought that this would happen to me…

He is just an ordinary looking guy. He has common face but has a good body built. He looks very manly and rarely talks. But not the type of guy that you would give a second glance. He started showing interest in me after a couple of months of being colleagues. He started giving me chocolates and gifts. Once in a while he will bring me home or ask me out for coffee. As a normal girl, I was thrilled with the special attention and said, ‘why not give it a try’. And so the juggling begins. Girls, this might not be applicable to everyone, but be very watchful with these signs.

1.  He chooses a girlfriend that has confidence in herself (now, that’s a little too proud of me). Girls with high self- confidence are less insecure and less suspicious. They have other activities aside from hanging out with their boyfriends. They have lots of friends and lots of extra curricular activities. Most importantly these girls wouldn’t demand too much of their time. Thus, it would be easier for him to do other stuff.

2. He is claiming that he doesn’t have a cellphone. Or he could also say that he is not really into cellphones and that he rarely use it. This would give him a good excuse if he is not contacting you and a good excuse for you not to be able to contact him. Our time is when the cellphone era started. Cellphone is no longer considered as luxury but a necessity. So if he gives you crap like he’s not into cellphones, or he would rather use his brother’s phone if necessary than buy one, etc, but he is able to go out (get in touch) with his friends outside work, hmmmm… that’s really fishy. 

3. At the start of the relationship, he gives impression that he is a family-oriented man. He always spends weekend with his family and since he doesn’t have a cellphone, he would not be able to get in touch with you during these times. Or he can also say that since weekend is family day he really doesn’t check his phones or he normally turns his phone off. He would make you feel guilty if you ask him to spend some time with you on a weekend because that would mean he’s gonna break an established custom with his family. In other case, this might be fine but if the promise of introducing you his family has always been postponed, that could be a problem.
