Thinking of thrashing or shredding your expired SM GC?  Wait, wait, wait!  You  can still use it as long as it falls within the 30-day period from the expiration date.  How?

1. Go to the Customer Service booth of any SM branch and inform the clerk that you still want to use your expired gift certificate.  As I mentioned, you can still use your expired GC within 30 days from the date of expiration.
2. Fill up a Credit Memo form and pay a fee of Php 2.50 for every expired GC.
3. Wait for the approval of the credit memo by the manager.
4. Once approved, the customer service clerk will hand you the approved Credit Memo, GC will be retrieved by the clerk so the credit memo shall be the one to use in purchasing your desired item.  Please take note that you can only make the purchase within the day of applying for the extension of GC.
