Today, we shall be discussing the importance of bug out bags (BOBs), weapons, and vehicles.

So, imagine that you woke up in the morning, and turned on the news. Something catches your eye when the news reporters announce that there has been an unconfirmed zombie attack. What do you do?

First off, the Bug Out Bag. In the U.S millitary, the soldiers carry Bug Out Bags (B.O.Bs). Bugging out is a term used for getting what you nead in a minute or less. So go out right now, and find as many useful things that would help you to survive for a couple of days in the zombie apocalypse, and stuff it all in a bag. In one minute. GO!

So, what did you find? What is critical is the weight. The goal would be about 10-15% of your body weight.

The maximum is 20%. So, what do we put in the B.O.B? Well, what we want is basic survival items. This includes:

1.Food

2.Water

3.First Aid

4.Hygiene

5. Weapons

Now we shall go over each item.

Food: Very important. Who knows how long you will be on the run, looking for shelter. I do. It will be about three days, so you will need at least 3 days food supply.

Water: Obvious really. Again, 3 days worth.

First aid: Just bring regular stuff, like bandages, dressing, and pain pills.

Hygine: Of all of the things you need to bring, this is the least nessesary. But, however, it would be nice to have a few bottles of Purell when things get germy, and some other things, like wet wipes.

Weapons: Ah, finally! the thing we have all been waiting for. Here is what works for me:

Machete: Pretty easy to obtain, and easy to learn to use.

Hunting Rifle (with Scope): You should get one from a store like Cabelas, preferably a .22. “A .22? but isn’t it as weak a hell?” Well, to that I say, yes. But, that can be at an advantage, because when it hit’s the zombies head, it goes through the front, but often wont penetrate the back, which is to your advantage, because it will bounce about in the skull. There is also the advantage of sharing ammo with a .22 pistol. Plus, the ammo is lighter, which means you can carry more of it.

Finally, a .22 handgun: See above. You can share ammo, and it’s lighter.

Now, Vehicles:

First, let’s say what you should take.

Bikes: This includes chain bikes and motor bikes. both are good for navigating the apocalyptic landscape, fitting in places that cars cannot.

SUV: Most SUV’s wont work, because they were ment for regular suburban use. However, if you can find a decent SUV, then you are probably good for many areas.

Trucks: Same rules apply for Trucks as SUV’s. In addition to that, you want a large, covered truckbed to hold all your supplies.

So, really, not many other Vehicles are very good for a zombie apocalpse.
