Practice Humility.
Humility
It is not:
A mark of ignorance, mediocrity or incompetence,
Weakness or surrender of one’s rights,
Self pity or lack of self confidence;
Keeping quiet when one should speak;
A naïve acceptance of what others say;
A blind following of any doctrine
It is:
The embodiment of the strong virtues of sincerity, honesty,
Acceptance and profession of the truth of one’s ability and limitations,
The appreciation and esteem for others’ presence,
Merits and needs; a readiness to recognize and accept ones errors and failures,
And to ask for pardon; an admission that one doesn’t know
And can’t do everything; a recognition and an acceptance that one is part,
But not the centre of creation; a disposition to obey laws and promote justice;
The willingness to listen to others even if you don’t agree with them;
Willingness to associate and to share with people of lower degree.
Humility is the first rung on the ladder to wisdom.
Humility is not weakness, it is strength.
