This story reflects on how easily a loved one or spouse can be taken away.

A crisp winter breeze flew around and chilled the air as two teenagers ran through a forest, playing a game of hide and seek.

When the girl tripped while scanning the area for her boyfriend, she spotted a shady looking figure staring straight at her, almost looking through her soul.

Are you going to help me up or keep staring at me?”

Alicia said as she sat there motionless.

Should I really?” Lucian said, “Fine I guess I will.”

He finally got Alicia to her feet before a cold chill flew through her body; chilling her to the bone.

She shivered violently and to her dismay this would be one of many violently chills to visit her over a two-year span.

Lucian soon forgot about making Alicia laugh due to a various concern for her.

Almost exactly two years later prior to that very day Alicia and Lucian spent in the forest, got terrible news.

Not only was Alicia not supposed to be out during cold weather, but she had caught slight hypothermia.

This shocked and disturbed him very much.

He would go home to sleep and wake up in the middle of the night in a crying frenzy.

His world was falling apart at the seams, and he couldn’t do a thing about it.

He would walk up and down town at the late hours around 3 or 4 AM, just to get a little relief.

He walked over to Alicia’s’ house the next night.

He couldn’t bear the pain of her dying.

He entered her room and saw her laying there.

Hair plastered all over the pillow…ebony and silk white mixing like a cool swirl.

Her pale face embellished the sunlight carried from the window.

She truly looked at peace.

She died peacefully, as an angel.

I just can’t believe she’s gone,” Lucian looked around the room quickly.

She was just here yesterday, and now she’s gone.”

Alicia’s parents were devastated.

They couldn’t eat or even bare to look at Lucian.

This went on for so long they became delusional and soon thinned away to nothing at all.

Eventually they died as well, and they were buried alongside Alicia.

Now Lucian was alone.

He was so lonely he slept on the graves of Alicia and her parents.

People say to this very day, that you can still hear his soul weeping and mourning over the loss of his love.

Hopefully one day his soul can rest in peace.
