Of late.. I have been seeing a lot of love in the air.. from my best friend to my servant,…my cousins my friends ,even the pet bitch of my neighbours.. everyone seems to be falling in love…. call it the magic of monsoons or simply their good times..!!

So I put on my shoes, have a loose t shirt on and grab my shorts… plug in my hands-free and play some old Coldplay song and get out of the house to have a lonely time on a lonely walk by myself..!!

Walking down the streets I see a young couple holding hands and giggling and whispering something to each other, I cant stop smiling to myself and think of us.

I pass a music store and see a poster of the movie we had planned to see together ..!!

On the opposite side of the road is a restaurant that offers the best Chinese in the town- your favourite cuisine!!

The shopkeeper never forgets to shout a “hey” whenever he sees me, I greet him back with a smile and continue walking!

It’s been long since I looked back at those times once again where we thought we were perfect for each other ( … I still think you are..!! ). I close my eyes for a second, to think of all the good times we have shared, and feel a raindrop fall on my eyes..!!

(Soon it will be raining heavily- a thought crosses my mind)

I open my eyes.. I can hardly see anything clearly, the downpour is heavy, already!

I look around, the streets are empty, people have rushed for shelters to escape getting wet..!! I prefer to feel the rain again and continue walking!

Just then I manage to see a vague humanly figure at some distance! Is it you? Or is it just a thought? I close my eyes stand still, let the raindrops wet me!

I again look in the direction where I saw the humanly figure, its still there, as if calling me..!!

I start walking in its direction, its a male figure!

I start running slowly… I can feel that the silhouette is very similar, I can smell your scent from a distance.

I am just 100 steps away from you, yet I cant see you, its raining more heavily now!

I have to reach you now no matter how… I run faster in your direction.. my eyes- they can hardly open-they are giving up to the hard splashing of the rain drops.. I stop running and reach the spot!

Where are you, you should be here, I know you were here, where have you gone suddenly…where……..

I look around for you, call out your name loudly, the only sound I can hear it of the rain hitting against the ground..!!

I close my eyes and realize that once again I have been left standing in the middle of the empty street, with heavy downpour, feeling the water on my skin!!

I cant help but mumble to myself “I Miss You” …!!

I turn around and take the road back to my home, this time it would be more painful!!
