It is sad, but I am not suprised to hear about Arnold and Maria’s marriage break up. The rumours about his infidelity have been circling for years, along wih many ‘other women’ hoping to cash in on his fame.

Actors and actresses are held in such high esteem by the general public, but they are not beyond temptation and because of their status, some think it is accepted that extra marital affairs are part of the lifestyle. So not true. There is always someone that gets hurt and in this case most of their children are adults and will certainly understand the repercussions of their father’s selfishness.

Of course, nobody knows what really goes on behind closed doors and marriages should stay private, but in the case of high profile people, this seems not to be the case. I feel sorry for Maria and her children. They are the ones that ultimately pay the price and feel the hurt. I am sure Arnold is sorry, feels guilty and is trying to say and do the right things to protect his family’s feelings, but maybe he should of thought of his consequences along time ago.
