A couple of years ago, I was sitting around thinking (because that’s what writers do).  I was chewing on some ideas for commericals (I’d really like to write commericals), and I had some thoughts about different inventions.  Out of nowhere a thought popped into my head while I was in my trance.  I must have been thinking about shoes and it must have been a time when I had bought, or was about to buy tires for my car.  You see, I love comfortable shoes and I love it when my car ride is smooth.  I thought about submitting my idea, but when you come up with something you often wonder about people taking your idea and running, or just flat out rejecting it. 

     Today, I’ve decided to write about what I came up with.  First, I’ll have to share a quick story.  I’m not into athletic shoes, but when I buy a pair I prefer Nike.  It has nothing to do with the name because I’m really not into names.  What I am into is comfort, and I find that after taking off a pair of Nike shoes my feet are left feeling like I’ve been walking on air.  I used to work a job where I did a lot of standing and walking, that’s when I found out that Nike shoes are wonderful!   In addition to enjoying comfortable footwear, I enjoy riding in a car that has tires made for smooth sailing; therefore, when I need tires for my car, that’s what I buy.  I call my car “my baby”, and it is a girl.  Guess what her name is?  Princess.  You got it!  When it’s time for Princess to have new shoes (tires), I always buy her Michelin tires because “momma” likes the way they feel.  There might be better tires out there, and I am aware that there are more expensive and less expensive tires out there.  However, Princess and I like our Michelins.  

     On that day when I was sitting around thinking, I thought, “I wish I could buy Nike shoes for Princess.”  I know, it sounds like the thought of someone a bit off her rocker, but it could happen!  Why not?  Nike for men, Nike for women, Nike for kids…and Nike for cars!  The Nike tires could have the Nike symbol, and they would need to feel as good as Michelin tires.  Yes, I can see Princess wearing Nike shoes!  Now, CEOs of Nike and Michelin I think you all should make this happen.  And, when it does, please know that I’m not greedy, and I’ll be satisfied with a small piece of the pie (and maybe a lifetime supply of Nike tires).  Nike tires, they’re still Michelins, only better!
