INT. King Trdat’s palace torture chamber, dusk. Super: armenia 300 ad

Gregory the Illuminator is a robust man in his early thirties. His face expresses the wisdom of a much older man. Hands bound and ankles shackled his body drapes over a cement whipping block. The chamber is damp and dimly lit, snakes and rodents slither and scurry across the blood soaked floor. Two of the Kings most vicious soldiers are assigned to deliver the torture. One of the soldiers walks over to a table where various instruments of torture are spread out across the polished granite. He grabs a metal shearing whip and begins whipping Gregory’s back.
