By Bryan Wegman.
I enjoy every little moment in life, but I’ll admit there are times that aren’t so great. All of life is all about ups and downs. You get something great just to have it taken away. My first word of advice, don’t become attached to a possession. It’s just an object. There is no real value to anything. Everything object you own is just a time-bomb waiting for the worst possible moment to explode. Have you ever owned anything that lasted? Anything that the wear and tear makes it run as great as it used to? It’s almost impossible to find, so always expect objects not to work. Next piece of advice take advantage of every day. When people say life’s short, that’s a bunch of bull shit. Think of all the things you can accomplish in an hour, there’s 24 of those in a day and 8760 of those in a year. There is plenty of time to accomplish whatever you want to, you just have to take advantage of all those hours. Now I know you can’t really take advantage of all 8760 hours because of sleep, work and tasks that you have, but even if you find 10 minutes a day for a hobby you can devote 60 hours a year and 60 hours is plenty of time to accomplish something in your life. Now the last piece of advice I will offer today is something for you to think about. When you die how do you want to be remembered? What do you want people to say about you at your funeral? A life is really in a way a meaningless thing unless you place meaning to it. This may not be the same for everyone, but I know when I die I don’t want to be just another person in a world of 7 billion that is swallowed up and forgotten completely. I want to leave an everlasting legacy. Even if my legacy is only impacted onto one or two people, I want someone to remember me when I am gone because let’s be honest, how would you feel if you knew everything you ever did and worked for in your life would just become forgotten and you would slowly slip away from the minds of everyone, making your whole life meaningless? It doesn’t settle well to think of your future that way, so make somewhat of an impact that people will look back on and remember you by.
