This is a short story where a young boy receives his brother’s recorder in the mail and writes out a interview with a alleged superhero.

Interview with a superhero.

My brother is a journalist who is always away. We at home just refer to these trips as secret missions. Yesterday, I received in the mail one of his recorders that has a “if found please return to” label on it, I did notice some dents and scratches on it. He is clumsy but to keep dropping his equipment. Well anyway I am certain he is on his way home to surprise us with a visit and this must have just beat him in the mail. I have always wanted to write just like him so I am going to surprise him and listen to the tapes and do my best to pen what I find herein. So with out further ado, here I go, please wish me luck…

After reviewing the recordings I believe that my brother, (his name is Philip by the way, Philip Krongester, and I am Davy, well David everyone just calls me Davy, gosh I just ramble sorry)

I am going to title this, “Interview with a Superhero”

By P. Krongester, assisted by D. Krongester

(My brother speaking)

The setting takes place on top of a well know city building, I double check all my interview devices and find that everything is in order and then I notice my crew walking over with my guest for the day and I start the recorder…

PK: “Well good morning sir, and I wish to thank you for coming and revealing your identity to us, can you please tell my audience your full name and then let us know what Superhero you are?”

Guest: “Um, I am not a hero, these guys grabbed me and said I would get fifty bucks if I talked to some nut on the roof over her…”

PK: “Oh, I get it you want to remain secret, I totally understand, how about we just call you , um…George, yes that’s it. Well good morning George and thank you for taking the time to reveal to us what a difficult life it must be as a hero.”

George: “Sir are you okay, your eyes look a little glazed, it is sixty-two degrees out here and you seem to be sweating quite a bit?”

PK: “Wow, typical hero, I can see the love and care you have for all of us “normal” people, that’s just great, now I know you won’t disclose your true identity as to what hero you are and I will not take any pictures, that is unless you allow us to, (giggling in the background) but as far as your hide out, do you live in the city?”
