Definition of Intrepid

            Intrepid, an adjective, used to describe a person or thing that is fearless and has a courageous demeanor. An example of an intrepid person would be President Obama, OPRAH, and Bernie Mac in my opinion; these are people that are fearless, courageous and are great role models. In this world you will quickly find out, as I have, that many people lack this quality of being fearless. Being a black young man I am already labeled by the public as being fearless, which is true, but also lazy, dangerous and untrustworthy comes with it too. That’s why I work hard and keep my word to everybody I come in contact with me to overcome these stereo-types.  Another example of intrepid would be religious or people of faith. Many religions preach on and on about how GOD is fearless and he should be the only one feared.

            In my opinion I would call myself intrepid and the reasons all stem from my pasts experiences both positive and negative. I feel that one of my strengths is my ability to find the positive out of most negatives and that I can get through anything with hard work. I come from a family that accepts and expects only the best little from for error. As my father would say, “I aint raise no looser.” I take my education very seriously and I have always been a great student. I do not hear the word intrepid every day, but in the bible you have verses about bravery and courage which I try to live by as close as I can. I was not always a fearless person, but I’ll tell you court, parents divorce, and hardships will bring out the man in you. I know I used to be lazy and irresponsible, but now I’m completely opposite. For example, I wake up in the morning at 4 am, on the train by 5 then I don’t get home until 10 pm at night every day. I don’t complain or shall never give up because I know my hard work will get me to the future that I have been wanting since I was a little guy and staying at home jobless with mom won’t get me that far in life.  

            At this school and life I’m going to have to stay as an intrepid person, in order to have a successful career in the future. TESST College has already made it though to stay focus and to stay positive, so that’s why it’s key to keep moving forward and staying brave even though I’m not so sure of what the future will bring. I do know what I want in my future, well what end result I want from TESST college, which is to obtain at least a minimum of 3 certifications before I go to BSU in the fall. In conclusion, an intrepid is a person that is brave and consistently fearless conquering all goals and overcoming all obstacles that are blocking their path.
