Invitation letter to a testimonial party

Dear Colleagues:

Greetings!

Of the many rituals that color the lives of people deeply involved in academic pursuits, one endures and this is a testimonial program to be rendered by us in honor of a soon to retire member of the faculty. Our good friend and colleague, Prof.  Virginia “Gie” Buhisan, Ph. D., is inviting everybody to celebrate with her in this milestone of her life.  Indeed, this is not only an excellent occasion for us to reminisce the good times we spent together but more importantly  this could be one moment to forge stronger bonds of friendship between and among  all of us in and out of the academe.

This will be held at the romantically scenic Sarangani Highlands.

 In this connection, we would like to strengthen the tradition of pitching in some amount to help defray necessary expenses for the occasion. This time around we will have it at P250.00/head.
