Over the past years, America has become an extraordinarily different place. Once the land of opportunity, it’s taken a sharp turn to the land of the greedy. But the greedy aren’t the rich. The greedy are the poor.

One thing that I love is that if you work hard enough.. if you can get to the top of the pyramid.. there are ample rewards.

So AIG. Big jerks, right? I can’t believe they used bailout money to give their executives bonuses!

Yes I can! Let me as you this. Let’s say you’re smart enough to climb the ladder. You work, work and work to get to the top. Now you’re an executive! You’re living the dream. Jets. Yahts. Summer houses. It’s amazing. Now, a department of your company screwed things up, and your boss says you have to fix it. But wait, there’s a catch! You don’t get paid. What would you do? Walk right out of there, that’s what I would do.

So by giving these executives their bonus, they’re basically assuring that the right people stay in the company and fix the problems at hand. Without rewarding the people who run the company well, all they’ll have are the people the ruined it.
