Bail money does not favour the poor. On the other hand, people living with riches can buy their way out. Is this fair?
Is Law in Favour of Finances?
There is an understanding that bailing someone out of prison requires a certain amount of money. Is law supporting the ones with greater finances? If an individual is in need of bail money and he cannot be placed back into society until that requirement is met, why let someone that had committed the same offence out with the help of money? This is beneficial to a student because they will start to believe that if he does commit a crime, he will be helped with education in his favor. With an adequate education comes money. On the other hand, it is making one clear that finances can be used to the advantage of a criminal to be released from solitary confinement. We are not favoring the ones living through poverty that need help to meet the daily needs to survive. If we want poverty to abolish, we must be willing to take correct action needed to do that. It is of no help by putting ones with a minor offence in prison for an extended amount of time and letting go another that can meet that financial requirement. Bail money does in fact benefit the government, but since the government wants a better society, shouldn’t they make it easier for an individual that does not have that money for bail. There are several people between four walls in the penitentiary wanting to create a better future for themselves but they cannot do so because they are locked up. Should they not be given a chance for their future? The one step that the government should take is to direct them to an agent that will get them a job that will make it easier for them to pay off their bail money as well as improve the quality of their future as well. This one step can create futures for those that are willing to take that step to make better lives for themselves. Who isn’t going to take that step once it’s given? The government can make a better society by placing people in penitentiaries for a small offence out in the world to better their lives after the bail money is given. If they are able to do this, they will be able to draw a smile on a face that constantly cries for a better future.
