December is usually a very busy season with a lot of merry making and spending then come January and every thing just changes and people start suffering from the January blues which at times they affect the rest of the year.

Ever wondered what happens to the year that was so much awaited for so that it can end up as abad year for some of us?Well it all starts in the  previous one specifically  in december without our  awareness.Looking at december especially here in kenya it is one of the  most beautiful season we enjoy in terms of public holiday ,good weather and garden weddings .

The schools are on recess and  the kids are just idling in the house so  the hussle of following up their private study program is not there neither is the waking up very early to drop them at school.

The weather on the other side is great  such that a family  trip upcountry seems an avoidable  and the temptation is soo huge such that  we take it.This trip which include family get togethers and holidaying are not cheap at all.

We spend like january will never come with its demands  and soon we are merrymaking wellcoming the new year.

Resolutions are made but as soon as the first week of the year arrives  and ends so  do they for there is no  any other demanding  month in our calender than the month of january. This is the  month we enrol our kids in school for anew year  meaning new purchases and payments. Having spend like we did the the frustrations of the new year begin. After  the new school year is the payment of bills wich accrued during the festivity season aasell as  going back to work after enjoying afew days off.Do not forget that every one had travelled so there many people onthe roads then  making it impossible to travell comfortably.

This month does not have any public holiday so we are forced to work all days of the month which is ablessing in disguise as most of us are soo broke such that they cannot affrord to take our selves out for adrink with friends.

At times we inccure debts as aresult of our unpllanned december spending and this debts  affect the rest of the year as they will be paid the following month which again will affect that month  budget.

However we survive and enjoy valentines day in february as the year progresses to another december. So the question remains how do we avoid the january blues?
