A poem of a feeling, Jealousy, that is looked at in a different way.
Feelings are here, they stay and they come
Wondering what to feel could trouble someone
Jealousy, we all know; have felt it before
It comes and goes, like seasons
They take time to show
Early dawn, with over cast clouds
The rays shine around the raw branches
With no leaves to take the glimmer
Fall has come
Lots of rain and little shine
You stand tall
But are fawned of the green
The green trees with leaves that never fade
Stay all year round and glimmer in the rays
But when it turns dark
And the branches flow
The snow comes down
And accepts you as a home
Stays for a while and you like the company
But soon fades into the afterglow
The match is re-lit
The flowers come to bloom
And you become green again
Just the opposite of what you assumed
You enjoyed the renewal of the heat rays
But it soon becomes too hot
And everything begins to bake
From green to brown
You watch it change
It goes in a circle
Round and round
And becomes cold once again
Because luck travels around
And the tree next to you is green still
But at least you change, and change you will.
