Part three of my Harry Potter Fan Fiction.
The first day of the summer holidays couldn’t come quick enough. Mr. Dursley had arranged for his nephews and niece to visit for a week. This was to be the first time Joe would come face to face with other wizards.
Now it was one day away and Joe would be leaving the primary school at the end of it. But was unsure of what the future held for him. He hoped that he would be accepted by Hogwarts, the school he had heard much about from Mr. Dursley’s stories. But to be honest he was still unsure whether or not it was real. He hoped to find out soon enough. And as it was also his 11th birthday he knew that day would be today.
He could not have concentrated on school work and lucky enough all his class did all day was play games. The only writing they had to do was memories of their time at the school but every time Joe tried to concentrate on this task all he seemed to be able to think about was Mr. Dursey his stories and the goings on of the past week. Then an idea came into his head. ‘The best memory I will take with me is when I became friends with Harry Vernon Dursley. He used to pick on me but then one wet day after he pinched the book I was reading on wizards he came over to me and we started talking. We have been friends ever since.’ In the end the words seemed to write themselves with little effort. It was as though they wanted to be written.
Harry Vernon Dursley was sat looking out of the window when Joe looked up from his piece of paper. He was thinking about that day when the two of them became friends after a year of Vernon being the bully. In his mind he pictured the events of that day.
Harry walked over to Joes table checked the teacher was not looking and snatched the book he was reading from the table. He walked just a few feet when the book seemed to try and pull itself from Harry’s grip, as though trying to get back to Joe. Within a few seconds of his mind going over what was happening he knew what he had to do. He Turned and walking back towards Joe allowing the book to guide him. Allowing the book to place itself back on the table in front of Joe, Harry said ‘I think this is yours, great choice. What do you think of the story?’
