However we may view our political leadership always remember that men and women have bravely died (sometimes needlessly) fighting for the democracy that we celebrate today.
At the moment nobody is more than 60% happy with what ever Government or Ruling Party leads their Country. Some countries suffer under brutal militias, undemocratic democracies, or crumbling communistic regime. Some may argue that they have seen the Best Years come and go, as, more and more money does the talking! Principles and morals are slowly being eroded in the quest for money and power. People who once stood for the Right, are slowly being edged out (or exterminated), from their seat of power. Only to be replaced by greedy, cunning, manipulative beings!
On Sunday 08 November this year, I attended a Memorial Service in honour of all those who died in the Two World Wars, and, in remembrance of all those who are dying and prepared to die, fighting for their country today. I bowed my head for the two minute silence, and said a silent prayer of thanks. Thank you for putting your Country before your own life. Thank you for the safety and security you provide the Country, and, thank you for the democracy your bravery affords the Country.
I am sure that our friends around the Globe including The United States of America, Canada, the sub continent of India, and the continent of Australia, are deeply proud, and grateful to all the men and women who have served their countries so bravely and selflessly.
THANK YOU, AND, MAY GOD BLESS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM . . .
