A brief article on choosing to make the right choice in relationships.
If you are the type of person who looks to others for approval or comfort, then your life will be based upon that other person. If the person feels low and bad about himself or herself, the decision made on your part will be a downward trend. That is why it is so necessary to know yourself and know who you are without soaking in the opinions of others. Do not base your worthiness on how you are treated by others. You keep your eyes on the prize and you will get what you want for yourself not what that other person want or do not want for you. It is time to step up to the plate and pitch the ball. The ball is what you want for your life. A teacher may be angry at you and you wonder why. Your spouse may be angry at you and you wonder why. But if you are angry at your self, then you know the reason. No need to try and figure out why others get angry or is not satisfied with you. The reasons may be too complex and too complicated to even consider with a slither of thought. Keep your eyes on the prize that you seek, whatever that prize may be. If you seek it then it should be awarded to you regardless of what others think about you. If others have you as the last person on their priority list, why put them on the top of your priority list. It just would not make any sense and what ever you are seeking would definitely be delayed if your dependence is on someone other than yourself. Loving who you are and loving yourself is the right priority and where you should be focused. Keeping your eyes on the prize is the basic rule of getting what you want out of life.
