League of Legends guide to champion builds. items and abilities. I am not the creator of League of Legends, I am simply a everyday player.

We all have the same thought when a new champion comes out.”What would I have to do, while playing as him, to make this champion be superb in battle and take on the whole team by myself.” Well ive broken down the builds into a simple easy to use method.Lets start witht he general abilities. If you are the only champion with a crowd control ability in the game, take advantage of it and try to get that up(if you plan on alot of ganking, and at the beggining gank). Although if you plan on more of a minion farming stratagey then it owuld be best to get area damage, if you have it, or some kind of buff ability( some examples are cho’ gaths vorpal spikes, tryndameres bloodthirst, brands flame pillar,ect.). If your champion does NOT have any crowd control abilities but you still want to gank alot its suggested that you just get your ability that has the most damage ONLY from upgrading it, the item build should not be your concern for how much damage an ability does at the beggining of the match. So lets recap, crowd control or damage if you plan on ganking alot OR if you want to farm on minions and monsters then you should go with more of a area damage/buff kind of ability.

Now that the abilities are covered we should talk about the item build(THIS IS THE KEY PART TO SUCCESS IN ANY MATCH). I have seen some incredible comebacks due to 1 person having a tremendous amount of health, damage per second, and even passive buffs. With the right build its GAME OVER for the other team. So, ive taken the liberty to put people into 3 basic groups. The AD(attack damage) group, AP(ability power) group, and the TANK(bascily they can take alot of damage). Lets start with the AD group. Most AD champions are hard carries which bassicly means that as the game progresses they become more over powered than the rest of the champions, that being said they should focus more on famring than ganking(unless you think its absolutely necessary) because more farming=more gold=ALOT more power. I personally think that the best item build for this group is either straight up attack damage, straight up attack speed, or a balance between the 2. It all really depends on the abilities the champion posseses, if there is a high ratio for the amount of additional power from building attack damage then its best to build it as nothing but attack damage(example is gangplank).(Longsword, brutalizer, infinity edge, whatever your heart desires!). If the abilities have little to no additional damage then its probably best to build attack speed at the beggining and maybe start building attack damage more toward the end of the match(A good example is master yi)(dagger of speed, berzerker greaves, sword of the divine,ect.). The people that need attack speed and damage usually have non-spamable abilities and depend more on there basic attacks than there abilities(example is tryndamere).(Bezerker greaves, ghostblade, black cleaver,ect.). Lifesteal is also important to get at the beggining so you can farm more and die less. Alright so we have the AD group finished lets move on to the AP group. The AP group is a little more complex and takes more strategy to build but they all have the same basic build so its 1 category for 1 group. Heres why its tricky. First the boots, you can either buy sorcerers boots or ionian boots. The ionian boots are suggested for champions that do NOT have spammable spells and strong ultimates with a large cooldown reduction. While the sorcerers boots are for people who are going against tanks and/or have spammable spells. Second thing is that you have to predict how you and your opponents are going to do because it is suggested that you get the soulstealer if you suspect you are going to have a decent amount of kills and assists and few deaths. After that its all about mana. If you run out of mana quickly but also want ability power you might have to buy the archangel’s staff. After this its pretty simple to build, go for hextech revolver for some spell vamp if you plan on farming alot and deathcaps. Onto the TANK group. Tanks are also sorta tricky because you have to build based on the enemy team. So before you start buying items for magic resistance and armour you should always buy health first so you can see what the general build of the enemy is. Another thing is the leviathan, you have to know if your going to be doing good or not so you can determine if it will be a good investment. Other than that you can read the enemy and buy the right items to negate there damage(it is extremely important that if they have someone on the enemy team that depends on there basic attacks more than there abilities to buy a thornmail because it will reduce the amount of dying from soloers that go off basic damage(examples are tryndamere, master yi,sometimes te emo,xin zhao, anybody like that). Well thats the basics of building. I really hoped it helps and dont forget to comment. :)
