We are born to love, but sometimes that emotion is hindered by abuse.

Learning To Love

We are all born with one thing in “mind”; and that is our human instincts. Our human instincts are to eat, sleep, dirty diapers, and to love and be held. It is over time without these instincts that we grow cold and “heartless”.

A child that grows up with yelling and beatings will usually grow up to be the same way, unless they learn to love. If surrounded by horrible conditions, such as yelling, beatings and trying to survive it hardens one’s heart; hindering the “love” emotion, the instinct we were born with dies away.

If a child grows up this way, but along the way someone, show them some love and compassion; as they grow and travel through life; and hopefully experience more love, understanding; it is then with a window of opportunity that they will learn to love.

In today’s world we teach our children to stay away from strangers, but as long as they have a parent around or guardian; I always smile and say hello. Why? It is my hope that somewhere, some way; I just might make the difference in a young persons life, so that I may open the door to their ability and “learn to love”.

A loving home is definitely the place to learn about love. So many adults forget that children learn by example.

That is so correct, love is learned by those around us, and thus my photo indicates the pain of being unloved.

Children learn from the parents then from everywhre else. And what they learn carries with then into their adult living. It is a sad situation when they know more about abuse and survival then being loved, wanted, needed or feel a much needed human touch. Its heartbreaking and the picture set your piece off to perfection.
