This article is about what the TEACH program taught me.
If given a scholarship for college I will be able to fulfill my dreams of becoming an English professor. Unfortunately, neither I nor my parents can afford to put me through college, so getting a scholarship would benefit me greatly because it would help lessen the hardships of paying for college. If I do not get a scholarship I plan to get financial aid, intern as a teacher, take out student loans and basically try as hard as I possibly can to put myself through college. I am determined to be an English professor and if I have to work sixty hour weeks and go to school than that is what I am going to do.
The TEACH program helped me discover who I am and what I want to do with my life. The program gave me the opportunity to examine myself. I found out that I am a passionate and determined person who wants to teach about literature. If I do not get a scholarship to do this, I will work as hard as I can to put myself through college. Every student has had a teacher that has affected their lives in a positive way. I want to be that teacher for that student.
